New 2010

SEARCH has upgraded to a barcode labeling system. Please click on ‘Procedures & Labels’ link at the bottom of this page to learn more! Items without barcodes will NOT be accepted.

Used books continues to be a SEARCH highlight. It is the largest used book sale in Pennsylvania. With thousands of books and dollars changing hands, Used Books is a blessing to both the buyer and the seller.  You, too, can be involved in either buying or selling used books. The Used Book sale will be conducted on a consignment basis, with a 15%-30% consignment fee on books sold at the fair. Consignment fees change according to sale guidelines. The consignment fee scale is explained on the ‘Procedures & Labels fact sheet.  To sell your used books please refer to the Procedures & Labels at bottom of this page. Please read Used Book Procedures sheet carefully--changes have been made since 2009! Books not properly labeled with barcodes will not be accepted. All books must be picked up by Saturday, June 19th no later than 5:00pm. Any books remaining after that will be considered abandoned and will be disposed of in whatever manner SEARCH deems appropriate. Proceeds from anyone abandoning books will be donated to the ongoing work of SEARCH. A check for the amount you sold, less the consignment fee, will be sent to you within 4 weeks after the SEARCH conference. If you have any suggestions or questions, please feel free to contact us: usedbooks@searchofpa.org
